Here are some answers to some of the most commonly asked questions we have been receiving.
Before you call our hotline, here are a few common answers to some of our most popular questions.
PATIENTS:
What documents do I need to bring with me?
There are only 2 situations where a patient would need to bring documents.
A.) If you want blood tests, you need an ID.
B.) If you want immunization, you need an ID and immunization records.
For all other services, you do not need any proof of income or documentation.
​Is there a waiting list?
This clinic is held on a first come, first served basis and patients will be seen in the order in which they are received.

Is this facility accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes. The McAllen Convention Center is accessible for people with disabilities.
Who is putting on this Mega Clinic?
The SDA Churches of the RGV, Life and Health Network in conjunction with Faithful Path International Ministries and other local businesses and non-profit organizations are the hosts and sponsors of this event. To become a sponsor, click here.
I want to be more involved but cannot volunteer. How else can I help with this event?

We need everyone to spread the word about this event. We want to reach out to and help as many people as possible.

Because our services are free, we rely heavily on generous donations. All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. You can donate here with a minimum donation of $10 or purchase a sponsorship package. Sponsorship packages are available for any entity who wishes to support our community outreach efforts.

Is this REALLY a FREE event?
Yes. Really, really. All services are free of charge.

If I have my vision checked, will I be able to get a prescription for glasses?
Yes.

VOLUNTEERS:
Can I sign up for a specific job to volunteer for?
If you are a healthcare professional, you can sign up to offer your services by clicking here. All volunteers must also make themselves available for orientation prior to the event. If you are a healthcare professional but are not licensed in the state of Texas, please let us know what field you are in so that we can make sure that you are stationed in the appropriate section as supporting staff. For all other volunteers, if you have a special skill such as security, first responder or CPR, computers or networking, or registration, please let us know and we will do our best to make the most of your skill sets.

Do I have to pre-register to be a volunteer or can I just show up?
To ensure the safety of everyone involved, volunteers are required to pre-register online. Thank you for your cooperation. Our goal is for this event to be enjoyable, educational and safe for everyone.

TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST
There could be a variety of reasons why webpages display an error message or do not load properly. Sometimes images cannot be seen or other media will not load including some of the forms on this site. Here is a list of some common solutions that should fix most of the problems you may be experiencing.
Do you have another browser installed on your device (Firefox, Chrome, Edge)? Have you tried opening the page in another browser?
Sometimes opening the page in another browser will solve the problem, especially if you have popup blockers active or other security settings.
​Do you have Adobe Flash Player installed correctly?
This website uses flash plugins for some of our content. In order to properly view this site, you should install Adobe Flash Player for free at https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Do you have a popup blocker active?
Some of our content is displayed in popup menus. In order to view this media, you need to remove or disable your popup blocker on your browser.

Do you have any custom themes on your browser? (If “yes” layout may be different)

Firefox: Click on the Menu button in the top right hand corner of the browser under the “X” and select Options. Select the Content option on the panel on the left hand side and uncheck Block pop-up windows. Refresh the page and see if that fixes the problem.

Chrome: In the top right corner, click the Menu icon. Click Settings. Click Show advanced settings. Under "Privacy," click Content settings. Under "Pop-ups," select Allow all sites to show pop-ups. You can change this option at any time.

Edge: In the top right hand corner, select the Menu button which looks like 3 dots in a row. Scroll down to the Settings option the all the way down to View advanced settings. Switch the Block pop-ups to Off and refresh the page.

Firefox: Next to the address bar, there is a small circular icon with an arrow. Click that icon to refresh the page and see if that solves the problem.

Chrome: In front of the address bar, there should be a small circular icon with an arrow. Click that icon to refresh the page.

Edge: In front of the address bar, there should be a small circular icon with an arrow. Click that icon to refresh the page.
Have you tried deleting your cookies and cache folders?

Firefox: Click the Menu button and choose History. It has a little “Clock” icon. In the Time Range to clear: drop-down, select Everything. Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared. Select both Cookies and Cache. Click the Clear Now button and refresh the page (see above for refresh instructions).

Chrome: Click on the Menu button in the top, right hand corner of the browser under the “X”. Click More tools then select the Clear browsing data option from the popup menu. Another popup will appear. Select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove and make sure that you select the option for both Cookies and Cache. Use the dropdown menu at the top to select the amount of data you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything. Then click Clear browsing data and wait for it to complete the task. Once it has finished, try loading the webpage again (see above for refresh instructions).

Edge: If you are using default settings in Microsoft Edge, you should be able to open the History panel by clicking the 4th from the last icon. A dropdown menu will appear. Click the Clear All History link in the top right of the menu. Check the boxes beside the Cookies and Saved website data and Cached data and files options. Then click the Clear button and try refreshing the page (see above for refresh instructions).
